We conducted the FIRST PROJECT of Guilty Your Humor which IS A GIFT GIVING TO THE CHILDREN OF ESPERANZA last 23rd of July 2021. Thank you to all friends of Guilty your Humor - Anniv Fundraiser from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao and worldwide as well, for sending your help to this undertaking, including my two friends Engr Mayleen and Ms Leah who braved the rains and muddy way today.  Our day started with the threat of Bagyo Fabian but it gave way to us. The road going to Hda Esperanza was muddy bumpy scary but we made it through.  Thank you to our City Mayor for providing us with transportation, to our two BHW Maam Marilou and Maam Arlene for the assistance, Maam Norma of Esperanza Elem School for lending us a venue for the gift giving of food packs as well as accompanying us today. Why the Children-in-conflict-with-the-law (CICL)?   The CICLs are our children who entangled with  the law whether it reached the court as a case or in petty crimes resolved in the barangay or PNP or the DSWD and did not escalate into a case. The latter children are referred as  children-at-risk. Republic Act 9344 and RA 10630 govern them and mandate the ideal services that should be given them, one of them a holding facility. In all points in time, these children should not be put in jail or PNP detention cells. They should be placed in the custody of their parents or in a holding facility dedicated to them and hopefully in a Bahay Pag-asa as envisioned by RA 10630. There are times when sending back the children to their family or community is not recomended, there comes in the purpose of a holdng facility. Dear friends, On the occasion of my 17th year as a lawyer, I am raising funds for children in two different groups. This fundraiser will share in my city's effort this year to have a holding facility for children in conflict with the law (CICL). Also, the children of Esperanza in my city whose community we adopted for a day each year except in 2020 will have home/personal essential kits. For every P500 you share, you will get 1 book, just add for the freight (LBC P200 per parcel).
