Blooms of Summer 2021 (Part 1)

Image
Who does not love colors? One of the best part of jogging, walking or running during summer is the opportunity to stop over to take a snap of pictures of flowers. According to our weather bureau, we have no summer here as season but call the November to May as our dry season. Well I still love the word summer as when I say the word, I can picture out the yellow sun wearing her sunglasses and smiling at me 😎. Well, dry gives me a dry picture.     So in this series, I want to show you the photos of colorful flowers and plants  I snapped while I do my daily steps challenge. They are so awesome not to share, so here they are: Purple, violet, red-violet ***   Maroon, Velvet, Deep red   ***   White and Pink, light pink, pink   ***     Blue, light blue   ***   Purple, light purple, Lavender, violet ***   Red   ***    ...

Green is a summer color too!

Image
We love green as it is the color of vegetation, forest and greenhouses. I always love to have greens inside the house but they tend to wilt easily but not the leaf of our Rainforest plant which detached from its motherplant last November 2020. Cactus is also a low maintenance indoor plant.    ***       I also love this long-stemmed plant as it can be a hanging plant planted in soil or a waterplant in a centerpiece of indoor tables. It can grow very long and it has a flower too. ***     Pine trees are evergreen and my forever green.      ***   Again, a pine tree.   ***      Small pieces of greens.     ***     Another set of green pieces.     ***     Green pieces.     ***

Just living is not enough... one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower. Hans Christian Andersen Read more at: https://www.brainyquote.com/topics/flower         "Just living is not enough," said the Butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower," is one of the popular quotes from The Complete Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen. No wonder that the hillside flower garden of Sirao, Cebu now mushroomed as tourists flock the picturesque hillside after the first flower garden called "Little Amsterdam" became popular. Who does not love flowers, anyway?              What I love about the gardens of Sirao is the growing of native flowers like that scarlet red candle flame-like plant and the colorful...

One of the joys of travelling is being able to see flowers bloom and beautify the surroundings. The vine with white flowers I am holding above is everywhere in the country and it is also here in Antique, Panay Island, Philippines. Here are the blooms I was able to preserve in frame. One of them is the pitcher plant which grows in the trail towards the hills of Malalison Island.  *** *** *** Cat's tail or Bleeding Heart *** *** Blossom of the Tambis fruit. *** *** Lampunaya with blooms. *** The opened Pitcher plant.  It lures the insects inside it and kills them with its acid.  ***
