The New Normal: The Barter Movement

Image
On 22 May 2012, I posted on my status message in Facebook saying, "Money money money... What if we revert to barter? Barter in 2012." I forgot the reason why I posted that but I smiled when I came across the same after about a week of scoring a guitar for my nephew in  exchange for the 3D Turbo Roaster through the help of Bacolod City Barter Community spearheaded by Atty. Jocelle Batapa-Sigue and replicated somewhere else, locally ad abroad after it became somewhat a movement. It's a new normal in trade.

Shoutout to "Ang Huling El Bimbo" musical stage play

Though it streamed for free last May 8 and 9, I wanted to belatedly send my accolades to the people behind the "Ang Huling El Bimbo" through this blog. Hats off. It was really amazing to know that the stage production which ended last August 2019 reached a total of sold-out 115 runs. The set and the period costume is admirable, the case is vibrant, the musical arrangement is interesting and the story is too melodramatic yet the story is presented just enough to make us suspended in our seats and give an all-out cry in the end. Past and present, old self and new self, old songs and new beats merge in the poignant story.
