Crispy Red Radish and Cucumber in Yakult dressing

UY Cucumber and Red Radish Crisps! 6 red radishes, sliced thinly 1 medium cucumber, sliced thinly 1 small white onion, sliced thinly 1 small head of lettuce Dressings 3/4 to 1 Yakult (60 to 80ml) 3 Calamansi, juiced 1 T olive oil salt and ground pepper In a non-metal bowl, mix all first three ingredients. Chill. For the dressing: in a glass with lid cover, put all last four ingredients and cover. Shake. Drizzle dressing in the first bowl of vegetable. In a serving platter, lay the lettuce bed. Just before serving, add all of the vegetables. Serve lightly chilled and serve immediately. Another look at the salad... cucumber... yakult quick photo of the salad... the salad on the side!!!

Umbrella mushroom stirfry

UY The stir fry umbrella mushroom, up close and personal 6 cloves garlic 1 large onion, sliced vertically 250 gms umbrella mushroom, cleaned and woody portion removed, and sliced 4 T premium Lee Kum Kee sauce Saute crushed garlic until brown and add onion until wilted. Add cleaned mushrooms and stir for 3 minutes. Add premium sauce and season to taste and let cook for 1 minute. Serve immediately on top of rice. woody, slimy and yummy!!! Another shot!

White Onion Rings

By GERLIE M. UY 1 large white Onion 1 egg, beaten 1 t of cold water pinch of salt and black pepper flour oil for frying Slice white onion horizontally and separate them into rings. In a bowl, place the beaten egg. In a plate, spread flour. Dip each onion ring in the beaten egg, roll in the plate of flour and deep-fry. Repeat procedure for each ring until done. Serve immediately with ketchup on the side.

Beef Teriyaki

UY 1 kl beef, sliced tapa-style Marinade 1 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup honey 1 tsp ground pepper 1 tsp rock salt 1 thumb-size ginger, sliced thinly 1 tsp ground ginger (optional) 2 T apple cider vinegar 1 T canola or sesame oil 1/2 cup canola oil (for frying and cooking) onion rings 1 T sesame seeds Garnishing 1 T toasted sesame seeds In a container with seal, put the tapa-cut beef and pour in the marinade and mix well using hands. Let stand for two hours or overnight. Heat wok-style frying pan, put the 1/2 cup of canola oil. After oil is heated, add the beef arranging each on the pan then cover the pan. Let cook for 10 minutes and add the rest of the marinade. Cover and let cook until beef is tender and the marinade is reduced to a half. Add 1 T of sesame seeds and onion rings. let cook until marinade is reduced to a third. Then remove from fire and arrange in a platter. Quick Beef and Salad in Corn Tortilla

UY Corn Tortilla, beef lettuce, tomato onion, cucumber sweet chili sauce  Quick Beef and Salad in Corn Tortilla    Quick Beef and Salad in Corn Tortilla  Frozen Corn Tortilla can be bought in the grocery   Heating a piece of the tortilla  After heating, gently fold into two.  Some of the tortillas...  Saute 250g of ground beef in 2 tablespoons olive oil  For the salad, chop white onions and tomatoes.   Add chopped cucumber too. Also choose the greenest lettuce available in your local market and tear the leaves into two big pieces.  Inside the curved, pan-heated Corn Tortilla, put some leaves of lettuce.  Add a spoonful of tomatoes and white onions and another spoonful of beef. Quick Beef and Salad in Pita Bread Wrap

By GERLIE M. UY  The Beef-Salad wrapped in Pita and temporarily secured by toothpick.  Pita Bread is native to Turkish and Bulgarian dishes and should have a pocket  between the round bread. Com  Saute 250g of ground beef in 2 tablespoons olive oil For the salad, chop white onions and tomatoes. I must add chopped cucumber too  but I was not able to include the same in my first try. Also choose the greenest lettuce available in your local market and tear the leaves into two big pieces.  I bought a frozen Pita Bread (Philippine Made) from the grocery.  Heat the pan. Add the pita bread and heat each side from 2-3 minutes.  This one did not rise but the original pita rises and creates a pocket in between.  At any rate, this is no problem as we will be making a wrap.  On top of the pan-heated pita bread, put some leaves of lettuce....
