Camote tops salad

Blanch kamote tops and drain well. Add sliced tomatoes, onions and grated green mangoes. Toss in apple cider vinegar, a dash of salt and black pepper. Chill and serve as appetizer.

UY 3 2-pc. pack Frozen Pizza Doughs (big or double size) canned pineapple tidbits, drained 6 pieces green bellpepper, cubed 6 pcs white onions, cubed 200 gms black olives, sliced into rings quickmelt cheese pizza sauce or tomato sauce Pre-heat over to 350F. Place the dough in a pizza pan, spread with tomato sauce, and top with the rest of he ingredients generously. Top with shredded cheese. Bake for about five to eight minutes or until the the cheese melts and the end of pizza dough is lightly brown... More suggested toppings: sauteed ground beef mushrooms shredded grilled chicken sweet corn kernel drained tuna in brine

Chicken siomai with quail egg

By GERLIE M. UY Chicken siomai with quail egg on top! The steamed batch of the siomai... ooops... hazy This was my christmas party treat to friends and officemates... In this siomai, I just used chicken breast, carrots, onions and garlic. I followed same method of preparation and cooking as my earlier recipe for  CHICKEN-SWEET CORN SIOMAI  In this one, I just placed hard-boiled quail eggs on top of the semi-wrapped siomai before steaming the same.... I was in a hurry so I just got a few photos! Happy cooking and eating...

UY The stir fry umbrella mushroom, up close and personal 6 cloves garlic 1 large onion, sliced vertically 250 gms umbrella mushroom, cleaned and woody portion removed, and sliced 4 T premium Lee Kum Kee sauce Saute crushed garlic until brown and add onion until wilted. Add cleaned mushrooms and stir for 3 minutes. Add premium sauce and season to taste and let cook for 1 minute. Serve immediately on top of rice. woody, slimy and yummy!!! Another shot!

Sinabawan nga Isda (Fish Soup)

UY Fishes are just added...after boiling it again, and adjusting the flavor, camote tops are quickly added. 1 liter water/ 5 cups water 1 big red onion, sliced or quartered 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced or quartered 2 stalks Spring Onions, cut into 2-inch long salt and ground pepper fish sauce (optional) 1/2 to 3/4 kilo fish (any fish suitable for clear soup), cleaned and sliced into serving size Camote tops and leaves In a casserole, put the water with the onions, tomatoes and spring onions then bring to boil, making sure the tomatoes are cooked through. Add salt and ground pepper. Then add the fish. Let boil and taste. Adjust taste with fish sauce. Add the Camote tops and leaves and immediately cover with the lid and put off the fire so as to overcook the leaves. Other options: add tamarind cubes or powder or fresh kamias together with the tomatoes to bring out a sour taste. Beef Teriyaki

UY 1 kl beef, sliced tapa-style Marinade 1 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup honey 1 tsp ground pepper 1 tsp rock salt 1 thumb-size ginger, sliced thinly 1 tsp ground ginger (optional) 2 T apple cider vinegar 1 T canola or sesame oil 1/2 cup canola oil (for frying and cooking) onion rings 1 T sesame seeds Garnishing 1 T toasted sesame seeds In a container with seal, put the tapa-cut beef and pour in the marinade and mix well using hands. Let stand for two hours or overnight. Heat wok-style frying pan, put the 1/2 cup of canola oil. After oil is heated, add the beef arranging each on the pan then cover the pan. Let cook for 10 minutes and add the rest of the marinade. Cover and let cook until beef is tender and the marinade is reduced to a half. Add 1 T of sesame seeds and onion rings. let cook until marinade is reduced to a third. Then remove from fire and arrange in a platter. Quick Beef and Salad in Corn Tortilla

UY Corn Tortilla, beef lettuce, tomato onion, cucumber sweet chili sauce  Quick Beef and Salad in Corn Tortilla    Quick Beef and Salad in Corn Tortilla  Frozen Corn Tortilla can be bought in the grocery   Heating a piece of the tortilla  After heating, gently fold into two.  Some of the tortillas...  Saute 250g of ground beef in 2 tablespoons olive oil  For the salad, chop white onions and tomatoes.   Add chopped cucumber too. Also choose the greenest lettuce available in your local market and tear the leaves into two big pieces.  Inside the curved, pan-heated Corn Tortilla, put some leaves of lettuce.  Add a spoonful of tomatoes and white onions and another spoonful of beef. And since this is quick, I used the prepared Sweet Chili Sauce to flavor the wrap. For snacks or appetizer... Quick Beef and Salad in Corn Tortilla
