Foot and Fire

En route to Camina Balay Nga Bato in Villa Arevalo, we passed by the Molo Plaza and noticed the newly opened Yusay-Consing Mansion which was earlier bought and restored by SM Corp. It was APEC week in Iloilo City then, so inside the mansion were endless pasalubong ideas from the well-loved biscocho to many pretty native handbags. A Visit in Davao city is never complete without dropping by the famous Lola Abon's candied durian... And now, they have durian ice cream aside from their durian ice candy! *** Who wants this? *** I love these!!! ***

A vacation is not a vacation if there is no proof. And the proof is not the megapixel alone but PASALUBONG, a treat for those waiting at home. Part of the Filipino culture is to bring something home. To celebrate such tradition, we allotted a day to buy Davao's best: durian candies, pomelo, malong, bags, wallets, keychains and other goods in Aldevingco Mall. But before we hit the mall, we roamed around the city hall of Davao, the Sanggunian Panlungsod hall, the San Pedro Cathedral, and the Museo Ng Dabaw. Circling the national circumferential road of Siquijor island is literally circling. We first stopped at the Guiwanon Spring Park resort where there are tree huts fro rent overnight. One can swim in the freshwater by the mangroves too. The resort guesthouse where one can have snacks and enjoy the view of the waters is about a kilometer walk through bridge from the highway where we stopped. It was a fun experience, I must admit.
