        "Just living is not enough," said the Butterfly, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower," is one of the popular quotes from The Complete Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Andersen. When I see flowers, I feel that either I am the butterfly in the story or I am the storyteller Andersen's reincarnation. And I think, I am not alone in that kind of feeling. No wonder that the hillside flower garden of Sirao, Cebu now mushroomed as tourists flock the picturesque hillside after the first flower garden called "Little Amsterdam" became popular. Who does not love flowers, anyway?    

         What I love about the gardens of Sirao is the growing of native flowers like that scarlet red candle flame-like plant and the colorful yellow-gold Amarillo or the Baho-baho. Of course, sunflowers grow in our country and it brings sunshine wherever it is blooming.  Who does not love colors and flowers? Confess!

            Of course, the hills and the view of the mountains are the best there is in Sirao Garden.This is one of the best side trip one can make when in Cebu City. Who does not adore flowers?
