Watched Broadway's The Wicked in 2022 and these are my takeaways

The Wicked

The Wicked is something you should watch with a sister as it celebrates friendship and sisterhood. I watched mine in September 2022.

This is technically my first broadway and I was lucky to have enjoyed it with a college friend who is now in her Canadaventures. It was both our baptism into the world of Broadway where music, dance, words and stories are shared and celebrated.

One can watch videos of The Wicked in ytube but if one is watching it live on stage, it is a far different experience especially with this particular production because of the impeccable costumes and dance and acting and stage effects. This is I think is a family show as it can be a magical show for kids, gothic theatrical for the teens and a classic singing with the orchestra which parents would love. The stage shift is awe-inspiring and the singing is entertaining indeed.

Here are the things to note:

To watch a Broadway, no dress code is required but one has to observe the time slot. Some allows entry for latecomers but some shows will make you watch in the tv screen and let you enter only during the intermission.

Be early by at least 30 minutes so one can enjoy the hall displays. Also, Broadway shows are shown in many theatres so you have to go to the correct one so as not to miss your show.

Dont drink much before the show because the bathroom queue is sure long.

Go out of the theatre to stretch and see more displays outside during the intermission.

Bring your playbill for souvenir. Practically everyone's leaving them on the floor.

Pray that someone seated in front of you is not a giant.
