A day of Binondo Foodtripping

Binondo Food tripping became a thing when in Manila because of many vlogs that came out. One restaurant could really serve our conservative stomachs but our expansive eyes wouldn't allow it. So when in Binondo, food tripping is the thing.

We got maps featuring 10 must-eat areas, videos to follow recommended orders and personal recos from my friend's Chinoy friend who knows his Binondo fares. But but but we only did three stops and bought pasalubong from Eng bee tin.

✅️Great Buddha
for beef tendons & dumplings

The beef tendons are Melt-in-your-mouth collagen in a bowl served with japanese rice. Savory. The dumplings are tasty combination of chicken and spinach. I love its dipping sauce accompaniment, sour with hint of chili.

✅️Eng Bee Tin
For what have you??? Hooopia

Bought hopia, frozen buchi with custard inside. We're supposed to get the siopao with ube and custard filling but they're big for our tiny cooler bags. I saw frozen siomai, dumplings, fresh noodles in the fridge. I opted to buy obe pack pf dried egg noodles.

✅️Wai Ying Fastfood
For roast duck & beef mami & hakaw

Roast duck is tender and tasty. I would rather order it with sauce on the side next time. The sauce shadows the  tasty roasted meat. The beef mami has tasty broth, not rich and not bland, just enough to satisfy one's craving for a hot soup. The egg noodle is small size and i like the texture, soft and not chewy. The hakaw was shrimp so I didn't eat but it looks good and tastes great basing on my companion's smile.

✅️Toho Antigua, the oldest resto
For Lumpia lechugas, mami seafood guisado & kikiam

We won't miss the chance to step inside the oldest restaurant. We had the lumpia lechugas which serves fried beef and tofu and a stack of lettuce leaves for one to use to wrap before eating. A simple sweet chili sauce accompanies this fare. The guisado has a good egg noodles too. Kikiam was pork and fish combination so I skipped it but the slices sure looked good.
