Watched Gomburza on Netfix and I liked it

Watched #Gomburza via Netflix the other night and I must say that it's very interesting to know who are these priests. I enjoyed the movie though it was just a straight storytelling because this is the first time that their story is revealed to me. I surely memorized what Gomburza stood for and that they were beheaded and I surely knew the dates they died when I was in elementary but that's it. I forgot the Cavite Mutiny, but I can visualize now the 1-peso postcard bearing their headshot photos with their story at the back.

I did not come to get to know who Gomez, Burgos and Zamora were and how their deaths helped Jose Rizal see the light. Now, I appreciated Paciano Mercado more though I know he supported Rizal's study abroad and in a way, now I can surmise that he guided Rizal in his nationalistic pursuits. I was lazy to know more about the names in our history books and it's a gift that they were made into movies, to remind us to pay a little more attention. The actors are all on-point. Love the movie and scenes in the ending featuring young Rizal. This is a good educational material to start a class in Philippine History.
